Small Business Representative

The Role

As one of Canada's leading fintech start-ups, Lending Loop looking for a hungry and highly motivated sales representative to join the team as one of the first hires in this new position. We’re looking for a self-starter looking to help form the foundation of this new role in a growing organization. The ideal candidate will have an interest in building a career in sales and has a passion for small business and technology.


Lending Loop is looking for a bright, energetic, highly motivated individual to join our team and qualify prospective new clients. You will be working directly with members of both our sales and marketing teams to ensure that all inbound queries are responded to in a fast and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound prospects and conduct the opening discussion for a financial product to small business owners while communicating our value proposition.

  • Conduct research to source, identify and qualify prospective clients.

  • Follow up with prospective clients, moving them through the qualification process before advancing them to a member of our account management team.

  • Identify key influencers within lead prospects and determine decision-making timeline.

  • Build and cultivate relationships with current and prospective clients.

  • Perform needs analysis to determine prospect pain points.

  • Work directly with marketing to close the feedback loop on inbound lead quality.

  • Coordinate directly with colleagues in account management, marketing, and our small business advisor team.

  • Help significantly reduce lead to response time, creating a better client experience.

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Experience

  • Help Lending Loop build the inbound funnel by following up with all inbound prospects in a fast and efficient manner.

  • Conduct up to 80 qualification calls per day to inbound prospects, following up via phone and email as required.

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills with a high level of detail orientation.

  • Strong lead development skills.

  • Advanced ability to successfully prospect a wide range of prospects within SMB environment (C-Level to single owner/operator).

  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to excel in a fast-growth, changing environment.

  • Bachelor degree strongly preferred.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in the B2B lending industry.

  • Experience with or other CRM.

  • 1 - 2 years in sales related role preferred.
