Lending Loop is looking for a smart, energetic, highly motivated Credit Risk Auditor to help our team build the next iteration of our risk based pricing and portfolio management models. You will need to adapt to a very fast paced environment which brings new challenges every day. You’ll be working with the team to help build the infrastructure for current and future loan products.

Key Responsibilities

A successful Risk Auditor at Lending Loop should identify and document requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery. This will include tasks such as:

  • Helping to manage Lending Loop’s Risk & Analytics function, building leading edge models to enable scientifically optimised business decisions

  • Optimising credit risk strategies for new and existing SME borrowers through analytically advanced solutions

  • Developing a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, the market environment and our processes in order to to manage and maintain sustainable risk / reward dynamics

  • Collaborating with risk analysts, data scientists and experts in marketing strategy, technology, data management, and business operations to deliver best-in-class customer experience

  • Ensuring we operate under strong risk controls and deliver a portfolio risk profile in line with the company risk appetite

  • Providing insight from data, assessing the commercial / financial impact and recommending actions

  • Delivering accurate, error-free results to a high standard within tight deadlines

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Experience

  • 5-10 years’ experience in credit risk analytics / audit in SME lending or retail lending environment in a bank or other lending institution - with a minimum 2 years of direct experience in credit risk strategy optimisation

  • Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to articulate complex problems into clear frameworks

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of financial industry

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, working knowledge of SQL or R or SAS. Good programming ability with either Python (IPython), R, Scala, SQL, Java or Matlab data science context
